Welcome! I’m Malinda Thomas, LMHC, SUDP, MAC, founder of Northwest Evaluations.

I’ve worked in the behavioral health field since 2015, specializing in substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Since 2017, I’ve served as an Addiction Therapist with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, where I’ve gained extensive experience conducting behavioral health assessments and working with adults facing a wide range of mental health and substance use concerns. I became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in 2022 and also provide behavioral health services through private practice.

I founded Northwest Evaluations to provide professional, objective behavioral health evaluations in a respectful and supportive environment. I specialize in mental health evaluations, substance use disorder evaluations, and co-occurring mental health and substance use evaluations for adults. Every evaluation is individualized, evidence-based, and designed to provide clear diagnostic impressions and practical recommendations.

I understand that seeking an evaluation can feel overwhelming. My goal is to make the process as comfortable and straightforward as possible by creating a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and respected.
